LA MATANZA, PUNTILLO DEL SOL
"Puntillo del Sol" literally means "the point of the sun." This place is a quiet area in 2 streets, where there are high-rise buildings, where each apartment has a balcony with a beautiful view of the Atlantic Ocean and Mount Teide. Residential complexes such as Costa Rica, Punta Azul and Bayaya live mainly in retirees from German-speaking countries, but also locals. Some complexes have a swimming pool with amazing views.
Apartments in this area are cheaper than in Puerto de la Cruz.
In addition to several multi-storey buildings, this area also has beautiful villas and pool houses, lush green gardens and stunning views. Prices for homes in this area start at 200,000 euros.
The coastline is very rocky, you will not find sandy beaches in the area, but here you can enjoy amazing walks along the ocean.
There are also several public barbecues (grill).
This area is not a tourist area with hotels. Therefore, it is possible to obtain a license for short-term lease, if the necessary criteria are met.
